He has a broad experience in the functional areas of Logistics and Manufacturing Management and linked ICT-implementations. He started his professional path in several logistics and quality assurance functions at a printing and binding company. As a consultant he is mainly involved in performance improvement projects and related ICT-programs and projects. Over the years, he has executed projects in a wide range of industrial sectors as well as in the public sector. With regard to software implementation, he has been working with the main ERP-packages (SAP, JDEdwards, BaaN, BPCS) and software packages for specialised domains (credit card processing, maintenance of equipment, planning tools).

Steel company – Project Management
This project focussed on the integration of a planning system with the legacy systems of the company. He took the role of project manager at a moment that the project was running in bad shape. He installed the project fundamentals (a.o. scope control, project planning, project controls, resourcing, communication) and brought the project back on the right track.

Company specialised in Floor covering materials – Procurement savings
Based on a company spend analysis, the opportunities for savings were identified and realised. He worked together with the company’s teams on identifying the potential savings, the specifications for the products to buy and the negotiations with the vendors. Procedures and tools were worked out in order to maintain the realised savings for the company.

Internet & Telephony Service Provider – Logistic Director a.i.
He took over the responsibilities of the Logistic Director. In parallel, he performed a SWOT-analysis and consequently installed an improvement program in order to bring the performance of the departement within the company to a higher level.

Internet & Telephony Service Provider – Design and Set-up of a Logistics model for the launch of Digital Television with related Services
The logistics model was designed for all steps from supplier to customer through several distribution channels. He supported the Logistic Department in implementing this logistic model.

Company specialised in Floor covering and its raw materials – Spend analysis
A spend analysis was performed with linked conclusions and advise for improvement and savings potentials on both the level of procurement and on the level of reduction potential of overhead cost.

Internet & Telephony Service Provider – Re-design of the Business Processes and set-up of a sourcing model
The assignment consisted of Business Process Reviews and a spend analysis for nine sites. Proposals for more efficient and effective business processes, for a new pricing model, for framework agreements and SLA’s were worked out. Besides his consulting activities, he took the project management role for this project.

Distribution company – Strategic & Financial Plan
He re-defined the strategic headlines together with the company’s management and set up a financial and operational recovery plan.

Company specialised in building Priority Vehicles – Strategic Business Recovery Plan
He identified and defined the building blocks (product mix definition, distribution channels, investment plan, financial impact analysis, production and logistics organization, …) for getting the company out of the distressing situation.

Financial company controlling Financial Transactions – Implementation of a software package for management of credit cards
He took over the program and project management role at a moment that the project was completely in distress. He re-installed the project fundamentals (a.o. communication, scope control, project planning, project controls, resource issues) and brought the project back on track. Once the normal project-mode had been re-installed, He continued leading the project until an internal program and project manager was appointed.

Multinational in Pharmaceutical Industry – Business Process Review in Procurement
A business process review of the whole procurement cycle (supply and non-supply goods) was carried out. An evaluation report with recommendations resulted out of this project.

Catering Company & Hospital – Impact-Audit of Software Implementation on organisations
The impact on both the organisations of the catering company and the hospital was evaluated. Recommendations were defined in order to improve and optimise the operational working of both organisations. He guided the organisations for the implementation of the recommendations.

Defence Industry – Business Analysis and implementation of a tailor made software (Oracle based) for the maintenance (including logistics) of aircraft equipment in an international environment
He was closely involved in all stages of the project and took responsibility for the overall program management. In close cooperation with the client’s program and project management, he lead several teams (composed of international client’s and PwC’s staff) to a successful implementation.

Multinational in Paper Industry – Business Analysis and implementation of ERP-system
The project covered the domains of Finance, Logistics and Manufacturing. He was responsible for the client account management and the project management.

Multinational in Food Industry (meat) - Feasibility study for the review of the business processes
A feasibility study was carried out and matching of the business processes of all firms within the several countries with the functionalities of JDEdwards was done. He was the focal contact for this feasibility study and concentrated on the JDE logistics functionalities.

Galvanization Company – Business Analysis and implementation of ERP-system
Definition of procedures and operational processes within the area of Logistics Management and support on implementation. It concerned a company of 14 divisions in two countries.

Multinational in the Food Industry – Conceptual Design
Conceptual design of a new supply chain model. Development of a technical architecture regarding the integration of several information systems. The company consisted of four divisions in four different countries.

Graphic Products – Business Process Re-engineering and Implementation of ERP system
This project was a combination of process redesign and the implementation of a new ERP-system. He was closely involved in all stages of the project and was responsible for the project management.

Manufacturer of Foam Products – Business Process Re-engineering and Implementation of ERP-system
Business Process Re-engineering of all functions within the total Supply Chain. Development of a new process structure preceding the introduction of new information systems. He was responsible for the coordination of the supply chain teams.

Chemicals Manufacturer – Process Redesign and mapping with ERP-applications
Analysis of logistic processes, including transportation planning of bulk and packed chemicals. Process redesign for the total supply chain.

Manufacturers of Fibers and Foam Products – Process Analysis
This was a project for two related companies in two different countries. Analysis of processes in the areas of logistics and production with the aim to improve the general throughput. He led several teams to a successful implementation of a new ERP-system.

Manufacturer of Breading Machinery – Technical and Sales Support
He defined and set up a new calculation and BOM-building model.

Manufacturer of sanitary equipment – Business Process Re-engineering
All processes within the areas of Supply Chain and Production were analysed and revised. New process structures were developed and an introduction of a new information system was prepared.

Development of a new planning model with shortened planning cycles and shorter leadtimes.

Distribution of spare parts for cars – Logistics operations improvement
Definition of a new supply chain strategy for the distribution activity.

Definition of procedures and systems specifications in the areas of supply chain and manufacturing.

Total Quality Manager
He was responsible for the introduction of TQM and the improvement of communication and information systems. He organised several workshops and guided workteams to an environment of better communication and information management. In parallel, he also lead an ERP package selection for the company.

Production Administration Manager
He was responsible for the departments planning, precalculation, preparation of shop order documents, production-administration. In that period he led an ISO-9002 team of 15 people towards a successful and rewarded implementation.

Planning Manager
He was responsible for short, medium and long term planning, including production forecasting based on the financial sales forecast. With the aim of improving the planning quality, he selected a finite scheduler and led the planning team to a successful implementation.

Coordinator Planning & Purchasing
He set up a controlling system for the supplies of raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods.
