PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT:

Devised for clients the first independent on-line quotation/underwriting/document issuance tool, which evolved into the third generation of this facility offering brokers and underwriters the ability to accept and manage binding and other authorities via the Internet with complete security and administrative cost savings of up to 80%. Thousands of international risks bound. PowerPoint based presentation available, if prospective project position warrants.

Developed and placed with M.I.C., (a G.M. subsidiary) Detroit, a programme for seven U.S. Credit Life and Disability Companies for Surplus Relief Reinsurance. Very large production attained.
Developed for, and contract underwriter to, the Transamerica Group in California a Real Estate E&O programme supported by, at my instigation, the California Association of Realtors.

Developed and placed for the U.S. National Ski Areas Association a products liability programme in London when no U.S. markets were available.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Consultant to several American MGA’s and Administrators for Automobile Physical Damage, U.S.A. Homeowner Insurance and U.S.A. Automobile Extended Warranty Programmes, involving placement, systems, structure and management, including liaison with the London and European Markets.

Broker/consultant to the International Wood Products Association, for the past ten years.

Broker/Consultant to the world's largest privately owned transportation services group.

Consultant to four Credit Life Carriers for Surplus Relief programmes, placed the reinsurance in unison with chosen broker.

Arranged Aetna Life and Casualty Surplus Relief portfolio transfer of their Canadian Book of Credit Life and Disability Business.

Marine Programmes : Produced and placed Cargo Insurance via a five secondment to the world’s largest privately owned Transportation Services Group; “grey water” U.S. Marine and Liability programme; Norwegian Hull Reinsurance programmes; Super-Seiner and other fishing vessel Programmes.

EXPERIENCE:

1984 – 2001 : President of UK/USA International Limited Group, consulting to a large and varied client base on both sides of the Atlantic and elsewhere, with innovative services and problem solving techniques.

1961 – 1984 : Worked with three Lloyd’s Brokers – Herbert Watson Group, (8 years in London and Los Angeles); H. Clarkson Group, (3 Years in London,); C.E. Heath & Co., (12½ years in London).
