Taken over the Business Unit Glass technology of Pilkington Benelux, through a Pilkington MBO construction. Around November 2007 I sold the unit to the company Scheuten Groep. The new company achieved national awareness within 2 years time. With the team we won the National Glass Award. Revenue grew at the corporatization with more than 20%. New developments and eye catching projects were the basis for our current prominent place in the market.

Function Business unit manager
Responsible for the Business Unit Glass technology with the whole of the Netherlands as working area. The Business Units ‘Glasbouw’ and ‘Glastechniek’ were integrated and professionalized. The net margin has been improved from -/- 3% to 2,5% in terms of return on sales. Turnover grew in more than 4 years form ca. € 3.5 million tot ca. € 7 million. We entered new markets and the company rose to the top of the market. Projects such as National Museum, National Palace on the Dam in Amsterdam, premises of Hessing automobiles & sound screen on the A2 highway, project Prinsenhof, as well as the 23 meters high hanging glass frontage at the offices of the Ministry of Finance (2008) witnesses this. Innovations and research together with the University of Gent (Belgium) hold course at bases. An external glass setter’s network with a distinctive ability to type of work in the Netherlands was set up. The VCA ++ system was introduced and certified.

Responsible for the project results, partly responsible for the return of the region and, of course, for the internal organization. In addition, I did the acquisition. HOMIJ technical Installations is a part of the Royal Volker Wessels Stevin group. HOMIJ south region has a section E&W, and M&R, a department of approximately 65 members of staff. (In about 2,5 years been reduced from about 130 till 65 members).
At the end of 1999 I managed the reorganization process at the E department, managing the organization to a more refined utility specific party (formerly known as approximately 85% industry). The number of jobs was reduced with about 25. In spite of this hard intervention the commitment of the staff still lead to an inadequate result.
The Department M&R was strengthened professionalized.
In the first half of 2000, as part-time interim manager, I professionalized the commercial activities at PSE (Panel Systems Europe) in Nuth, a former subsidiary of HOMIJ technical installations.

Responsible for the project results, as well as for the internal organization. Lotec is a manufacturer of products and attractions for the swimming pool construction, as well as an installation company, that specializes in the construction of water treatment installations for public swimming pools. Lotec has about 50 employees. Within the Benelux countries I guided, in a commercial point of view, the first stages of the project acquirements of large projects. Outside the Benelux, the commercial activities for the products and attractions were accomplished by me. European patent rights were sold by me to a Canadian company. Due to the policy, I have been on the basis of revenues and profitability improvement. Leading the Belgian location, as well as leading the product development and the manufacturing division was part of the tasks.

August 1988 until January 1992: Terberg Installations, IJsselstein

Responsible for the realization of control solutions for total energy installations, for wave making machines, hot whirlpools and central heating air treatment in swimmingpools, largely provided for abroad (Western Europe).
At that time, Terberg was employing 100 employees. Revenue was about Hfl. 15 mio. I was responsible for the unit turnover and profit, which under my leadership has grown from 3 to 12 employees and from Hfl. 0,75 mio to Hfl. 3,75 mio. The margin improved during this period from negative to +2,5%.
