• Sale of a non profitable portfolio of small customers
• Re-focus of the company on supply chain services
• Research of a new shareholder and definition of a new strategic plan
• Building of new operating premises


4. March 1994 - November 1997:

Chain of 100 D-I-Y stores in Belgium, with total sales of 17 MM BEF
Subsidiary of GIB Group

Responsibility: Management of the supply chain to the stores, leading a team of 130 people and of 4 sub-contractors.

Accomplishments:
• Installation of a stock management and of a warehouse management software
• Distribution re-engineering: consolidation of 2 platforms, move of the 2 main warehouses, review of transport routes.
• Launch of the European logistic of the D-I-Y division of GIB Group
• Increase of volume by 40% between 1994 and 1997.

Responsibility: Liaison with GIB Group Headquarters in Brussels

• Budget Control: stores and products category performance analysis, annual budgets, and capital expenditure control.
• Finance restructuring plan: IPO, merger and acquisition.
• Setting up a strategic plan with an external consultant (Mc Kinsey).
• Project leader for the choice and the installation of a store stock management system.
• Positive experience of expatriation: mobility and adaptability
