Working with Otto Group to deliver business case on proposed IT architecture modifications, and to provide input to their package selection process.
Analyse IT architecture (both systems and networking), to provide insight so that management can make the correct decision on how to align this with the rapid growth of their business across Europe

2002 Title: ALTRAN Corporate Development and Strategy Paris
Responsible for the acquisitions internationally, with a focus on the US, UK, and Asia, and successfully completed the Arthur D. Little deal for Japan, S. Korea, Singapore & Hong Kong.
o Firstly, I was responsible for sourcing of targets that met our strategic criteria.
o Following this I was responsible for approaching these companies and entering into negotiations
o Managing the due diligence came next, and this was split into Strategic, Operational (including IT), Financial (including Tax).
o Hand over to integration team, with progressively less input over time.

1999-2001 Title: Accenture Manager London, Washington, Stavanger (Norway)
Managed post acquisition integration phase of a major Australian Financial Services company with five newly acquired insurance businesses in the U.K. Successfully designed and implemented a new Shared Services organisational model, and this was rolled out to all other business units. This work included not only the strategy, but all aspects of the implementation.
o This project spanned 18 months, and my role started off with my participation in the project business case, and ended with the successful integration and implementation of the shared services model in 5 acquired companies.
o I managed two work streams in the implementation phase; IT and Process. This involved building a team of consultants, consultants, and employees. All told the two teams totalled about 20 people.
o The Process work stream involved analysing all the (HR) Recruiting, Payroll, Training, Admin and Compliance processes of the 5 acquired companies, creating a new common set of processes. We worked very closely with the change management and shared services work streams

Managed the ERP integration of the new TradeRanger Oil and Petro-Chemical Exchange (B2B) based in Houston to major Norwegian oil producer based in Stavanger.
o Helped develop their strategy and business case to move all their suppliers toward an online market place.
o Supervised upstream procurement integration for largest suppliers
o Provided functional configurations requirements to ERP procurement teams
o Selected and developed EAI software for secure purchase order transfer to suppliers
o Worked with Commerce One (Internet Market Maker Solution Provider) on functional and technical requirements for Enterprise Buyer™ - eProcurement solution integrated to ERP backoffice. Provided functional input on the direction in which the product should move. This led in part to their acquisition by and merger with SAP.

1997-1999 Title: Accenture Consultant New York, Paris, Frankfurt
Lead Consultant on global financial services web enablement and financials data mining implementation. Responsible for the technical implementation across London, Tokyo, and New York. Managing a team of 15 people.
o Managed the initial Conference Room Pilot to design new financial and human resource reporting
o Configured and customised the ERP package
o Developed all interfaces
o Developed all data conversion scripts
o Drove the introduction of Self Service processes through introduction of secure web enabled functionality.

1995-1997 Title: Accenture Analyst Cape Town, Johannesburg
Developed a strategic disease prioritisation tool for global pharmaceutical company, targeting where limited resources will have largest effect in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Systems Administrator for Government purchasing system, and software developer.
o Responsible for Unix administration

Security analyst to set up processes, standards and techniques to guard against I.T. system breaches. Recruited and trained system administrators to deal with hacking. Consulted on government white paper on technical aspects of system intrusion.

1993-1995 Title: Sharp Electronics Analyst Cape Town, Johannesburg
§ Responsible for developing the business case to analyse business trends and change of IT architecture from mainframe to client server to support growing business with introduction of new revenue sources (Rental of equipment).
§ Implemented the Photocopier (Cost per Copy and Rental) change over, and helped manage the business case throughout the process.
