Position : Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Singulus Mastering BV is a high-tech enterprise which develops, produces, sells and services complex systems in an international B2B environment, managed from its HQ in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Singulus Masterings employed 120 FTEs (BSc, MSc PhD), focus on R&D, Customer Support and Sales. Annual turnover 50 M.
Responsibilities:
o General management (Sales, Customer Support, F&A, HRM, Project Management). Per 01/01/2009 R&D and Operations where added;
o P&L responsible;
o Global commercial strategy and management;
o Directly involved with key-accounts;
o Develop and implement global strategy for Customer Support.
Achievements:
o Definition of system specifications for the Blu-ray Disc (BD) mastering system;
o New platform successfully launched in May 2007, Long Beach, USA;
o Re-organizations, resulting in significant headcount- and cost-reductions;
o Introduction of KPIs, preparing Social Plan, negotiations with Unions;
o Customer Support business average gross margins increased from 38 to 51% in 4 years, with a stable turnover.
o In 2013, initiation and preparation of the acquisition of the Mastering activity by VDLETG, thereby fully covering the employees as well as Singulus long-term interests. Left Singulus Mastering in a good understanding. Singulus offered a more than fair compensation plan.


2004 2006 : Singulus Mastering BV
Position : Executive Vice President Marketing & Sales
In 2004, Singulus OMP BV merged with its main competitor ODME BV, resulting in the new company Singulus Mastering BV.
Responsibilities
o Merge the two companies with opposite cultures;
o Definition and implementation of new operational process structures;
o Implementation of an ERP/CRM system;
o Management of global Sales and Marketing strategy and activities;
o Product Management.
Achievements:
o Successful merge of the companies Singulus OMP BV and ODME BV;
o Worldwide market share installed base increased from 60% to 75%;
o In 2004/2005, Singulus Mastering BV was the best performing daughter company in the Singulus group

1998 2004 : Singulus OMP BV, The Netherlands
Position : Director Sales & Marketing Asia & Middle East
Singulus OMP BV developed and manufactured high-tech systems for the Optical Disc (OD) industry. In 2002, Singulus Technologies AG, a German public listed company, manufacturer of complementary systems for OD production, acquired OMP BV.
Responsibilities
o Sales management for the Far East, Asia-Pacific and Middle-East territories;
o Direct sales in smaller markets (Pakistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam) w/o local agent;
o Definition of new product features, anticipating future market demands.
Achievements
o Definition of OMPs corporate identity and global marketing strategy;
o Set up of a global commercial network, covering all major areas;
o Identification and selection of exclusive agents, focus on Asia Pacific region;
o Established a regional office in Singapore, recruited local staff;
o OMPs global market share increased from virtually 0 in 1997 to 25% in 2004;
o Personally concluded several deals in Pakistan, Vietnam and Bangladesh;
o In 2004 OMP became market leader in Asia Pacific and Middle East;
o OMPs mastering systems were sold and delivered to > 35 countries.

Responsibilities and achievements:
o The personal link between commercial department and client, from contract signing until and including Final Acceptance of the mastering system and side equipment
o Preparation of site requirement documentation and training material

1995 1997 : Applied Laser Technology BV (ALT)
Position : Technical Commercial Manager
Responsibilities
o Sales and marketing of laser systems, optical elements and micro-positioning equipment Annual development of a commercial business plan for various product groups.
Achievements
o Set up of a new company activity, called ALT Systems, offering complete technical solutions, in addition to the sale of components only;
o From 1995 to 1997 the company result increased with 45%.


1988 1994 : Applied Laser Technology BV (ALT)
Position : R&D Engineer
Responsibilities
o Development of non-invasive laser Doppler equipment for medical applications;
o Giving sales support and service trainings.
Achievements:
o Complete development (mechanics, optics, electronics, software) of a laser Doppler system for measuring micro-circulation in human tissue (skin),
o Obtaining European (TV), American (UL) and Japanese approvals;
o The Doppler system was successfully marketed in Europe and Asia (Japan).

1986 1988 : Applied Laser Technology BV (ALT)
Position : Service Engineer Laser systems
ALT represents (sells) high tech optical products from USA and Germany. Target markets were R&D institutes, Technical Universities and high-tech industries. ALTs territory was the Benelux. ALT also developed laser based measuring products.
Responsibilities and achievements:
o Installation/upgrade/repair of a variety of industrial & scientific lasers;
o Development of optics and electronics of a laser triangulation sensor.
