2. GUS HOME SHOPPING

Accountabilities

· To provide clear leadership and vision to the Division’s Technical Support departments of over 50 direct staff.
· Initiate and manage a change programme to improve procedures and processes and create a centre of excellence, ensuring results can be objectively measured.

· Implementation of new Company Packaging Standards across the supplier base, and a revised packaging specification system.
· Improved supplier communication by the introduction of pictorial technical manuals and a company video.
· Re building of the in house Laboratory and re defining its strategic objectives.
· Outsourcing of pre delivery testing of textiles.
· Introduction of new Laboratory administration system.
· Improvement of 3% in critical fault detection at warehouse inspection along with an 8% reduction in costs.

· Re organisation of sample control department and introduction of a bar coded sample-tracking system.
