Work Experience

Till 1972: Several functions in the Hotel, restaurant and catering industry in which 1 year in Baden, Switzerland.

1-4-1972 till 1-7-1975:
General manager of a congress and holiday centre in south west of the Netherlands. The centre had two hotels, 40 bungalows and 20 apartments. In total 250 beds.

1-1-1976 till 1-6-1979:
Human resource manager by the Amro-bank. At first as member of a multi-disciplinair team as change manager. Later HRM in one of the two head offices.

1-6-1979 till 1-9-1983:
Human resource manager and member of the management team of a technical installation company in Rotterdam, NL. 550 employees who partly worked around the world.

1-9-1983 till end1984:
Human resource manager by Apple computer for the General European Area (Benelux, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, Sweden and Norway. Reporting to the European headquarter in Paris.

1985 till 1992:
Founder and president of a consultant group. In general we did a lot of change management and sometimes we act as interim management. The change management was both as consultant and as "project-leader" and often had to do with a reorganisation which was developed by us together with the management of the company or ministry, where the reorganisation took place.

End 1992 till half 1997:
Management consultant by a medium sized consultancy firm. Mainly change management, consultancy work and coach for new colleagues. Abroad working for projects in Estonia, Belarus', Rumania and Germany

1-6-1997 till 1-4-1998:
Internal consultant for an international concern in the field of public transport in Hanover, Germany. I had carte blanche to restructure daughter companies in order to get them in line of the general policy.

1-4-1998 till 1-4-2001:
President of a marketing and sales oriented company in the Netherlands and in Belgium in consumer goods with a turnover of fl. 27.000.000,00. The company was a daughter of a family owned German Company. I also supported the French and Swiss sister companies in the field of sales and marketing. I raised the turn-over by Dfl. 2.500.00,00 p.a., reorganised the sales department and installed a new IT system.

Since half 2001:
Part-time interim manager of a consultancy company. I had two create one solid company out of two small companies. The cultures of the companies were very different as well as the field of working. A real challenge.

Teacher at a high school in the field of labour law. The Hogeschool Zeeland was needed a teacher for a bachelor study. I happen to have time and was able to get the job done with enthusiastic students as a good result.

Consultant, trainer and coach by a change management operation in a hospital and social care organisation with 2300 employees. One of my former colleagues asks me to assist her by this major operation. I was able not only to help to make this project very successful but also to transport my experience of handling large projects to my former colleague.

Consultant and coach of a fishfarm in Croatia. I consider this as a project where the knowledge of the wealthy west is imported to the former socialistic and therefore under developed east. I don't charge this company because I like to do so. When there will be profit in the future, I will get a humble part of it.

Bachelors degree

1981-1983:Academie of social science: Organisation development, change management:
Nijmegen, NL Bachelors degree
Degree in supervision and coaching

1992-1993;Universtair Centre Benelux: Psychology: Bachelors degree

Varicoloured post academic courses in the field of management, organisation development, information technology etc.


Skills

I am a generalist and very flexible with a lot of experience as change manager both in private companies as in the public area. I have a strong personality combined with an open mind. Because of my mind setting as well as my tallness (2.04meter), people mostly take me very seriously. I have worked in a lot of branches and environments and in a couple of countries. As turn around manager I am used to work in a "hostile" environment. Normally I am a teamcaptain that get the best out of people.

If necessary I can and will learn other foreign language or other skills to get the job done.
