2013 – today Interim Manager / Director, Strategist, LEAN Six Sigma Trainer and Consultant
Responsibilities
Helping my clients to the next level. I focus on general management and operations management, including demand planning, S&OP, outsourcing, procurement and facilities management. I am also developing LEAN Six Sigma organisations.
Accomplishments
Turned a webcompany from a soon to be bankruptcy into a successful acquisition.

2008 – 2013 (Associate Director) Facilities & Technical Manager & Country Manager Fleet
Responsibilities
After starting as a reliability engineer in the first months I received responsibility for the facilities organisation (3 site locations), including soft and hard services, IFM ( also outsourcing the organisation), project management (and process improvement and technical projects), reliability management, plant maintenance, spare parts warehouse, real estate (plus refurbishments), energy management, travel and fleet management (country management and integration).
Strong focus on supplier management, TCO (also 10% savings yearly) and LEAN, improving output of the organisation.
Accomplishments
Erected new facilities organisation including Integrated Facilities Management and outsourcing the employees. Refurbished 2 large office buildings and vacated another. Achieved several energy reductions. Created appealing and viable site master plan. Moved employees from cellular offices to open office. Improved uptime of automated guided vehicles and changed behaviour from maintenance technicians to think more commercially towards suppliers: better defined work orders, more control and lower total costs by analysing the markets for alternative options. Analysed MRO and improved data integrity, transitioned to working with largely 3 MRO consolidators. Rationalised the Capitals Planning process. Consolidated fleet management in the Netherlands and created a new organisation for fleet, including outsourcing the operational activities and teaming up with new suppliers.

2007 – 2008 Manager Consultant
Responsibilities
Manage projects in operations and strategy; turn-arounds from idea through business case to tools (functional specs and pilot), implementation, training and coaching.
Manage and coach staff outside project teams.
Accomplishments
Defined approach to improve indirect sourcing and supply management with focus on total cost management, demand management and category sourcing.
Lead project in operational excellence for this manufacturer of world’s largest hydraulic excavators. Accomplished €2,4 million savings in Sales & Operations Planning by professionalising marketing, demand planning, procurement, rough-cut capacity planning and engineering.

2004 – 2008 Consultant
Responsibilities
Deliver services on strategic, process, marketing and procurement issues to customers in industrial and governmental areas. Focus on value creation and chain integration, process optimisation and lowest total cost of ownership.
Accomplishments
Achieved higher level of empowerment by major culture and structure change in maintenance organisation (160 coordinators to contractors);
Established a central purchasing organisation including needed processes;
Defined focus categories and approach to improve purchasing results and constructed a new integrated process;
Conducted a sourcing analysis, indicated improvements and proposed strategic choices;
Developed contracts and EU tendered MRO for 400 technical locations (police network);
Improved marketing forecasts for a more viable business. Restructured and professionalised purchasing department and supply chain from demand planning through production;
Selected ERP-package for a production company; Structured inventory and planning control; Created new sales and marketing approach for service provider.

2002 – 2004 New Business Development Manager
Responsibilities
Manage market development and initial sales for new industries;
Professionalise the sales team and develop new products for new PMC's;
Conduct market research, strategy, marketing and product development.
Accomplishments
Restructured team and trained for new successful sales methodology;
Conducted market analyses, developed products, developed sales strategies, established marketing policies and conducted first initial sales in food, consumer goods, fmcg's, pharmaceutics, corrugated, ski belt, tissue, distribution and airport industry.

1999 – 2002 Management Consultant / Interim Manager
Responsibilities
Manage change and improve processes at customer;
Design and manage new procurement process and employee benefits.
Accomplishments
Integrated and implemented new organisation consisting of 3 former departments;
Did an impact analyses at customer that enabled a smooth migration;
Designed and implemented a new career management system;
Designed a new creative lease car policy, selected supplier and negotiated contract. Achieved TCO savings of several hundred thousands of Euros;
Designed and implemented the new pension system, negotiated the new contract with the pension supplier. Achieved a cost neutral construction versus an increase in costs of over 30%. Developed a more flexible pension system;
Managed HR-department as an interim.

1998 – 1999 Interim / Change Manager
Responsibilities
Change structure and culture during a 15 month process in one of the affiliated companies towards self sufficient teams, implement new tools and stimulate market oriented thinking;
Total team over 30 people at any time, 100 people in total to cover opening hours.
Accomplishments
Established a flat organisation with smaller amount of overhead (from 11 fte down to 3 fte + 1 administrative fte).

1996 – 1998 BU Manager Europe
Responsibilities
Manage marketing, sales and technical support to OEM’s and end users;
Concept selling / training sales force / consulting / specifying new products;
Integrating new business unit in the existing European sales organisation.
Accomplishments
Trained sales organisation and educated for selling standard products additional to their existing business: integrated standard products from the BU;
Developed new industries and achieved substantial sales growth in Europe;

1996 Project Facilitator TQM (project 4 months)
Responsibilities
Define and implement ISO-9002 and support implementation of a new ERP-system
Accomplishments
Implemented ISO-9002 and aligned the ERP-system with the new procedures.
