Bioxydyn (a Manchester University spin off) is a high end niche player in the quantified biopharmaceutical imaging market (iCRO) with a strong foundation in MRI. Using dynamic intravenous contrast agents (DCE-MRI) or the patented oxygen enhanced technology (OE-MRI) the company delivers new insights for the pharma industry and specialist MD’s in specific diseases like COPD, Asthma, CF, ILD/IPF, Oncology, Neurology and Cardiology.

Non-ionizing technology using oxygen as contrast is unique and places the company in a world leading position. The portfolio of high-end technologies and customer focused capabilities includes imaging applications to improve the understanding, early detection, diagnose and personalized medicine related to respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Interstitial lung disease (ILD), Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibroses (IPF), Cystic Fibrosis (CF), Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) and Asthma. Qi Imaging (former Ziosoft) is a leader in supercomputing, diagnostic advanced visualization and functional analytics based on PhyZiodynamic® solutions for the medical care market. Qi Imaging technology enables clinicians to automatically apply cutting-edge algorithms to the analysis of internal organs and other regions of interest in multiple dimensions (2D to 5D). Ziosoft has received regulatory clearance for several applications and has more than 2,000 Ziostation® systems installed worldwide. Qi Imaging is since October 2011 part of the NantWorks group of Dr. Patrick Soon Shiong, #37 on the Forbes list of richest people in the world. Qi Imaging has a indirect go to market model which includes 20+ distributors and 60+ sales people. Qi Imaging has a market share of up to 90% in Japan. Recruited to this provider of enterprise-wide advanced visualization software to perform a major role in establishing its European organization and to plan, execute, and manage its sales activities, including direct/partner sales, marketing, service, and support functions.

• Market Penetration & Business Expansion – Led successful efforts to penetrate the European healthcare market and expanded the organization to include offices in Rome, Paris, London, Berlin, and Oslo.

ROGAN DELFT – Veenendaal, The Netherlands
CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER / VICE PRESIDENT, SALES & MARKETING (2002-2006)

Brought on board by this major innovator and supplier of state of the art PACS solutions to turn it around and take it to its next level of success; Rogan Delft is a part of Delft Instruments NV (holding company of an international group of companies that occupy a leading position in the healthcare, oil, gas, and defense markets with high quality, high technology products and services). Oversaw day-to-day operations, led all global sales and marketing initiatives, and provided input for corporate strategy. Managed 20 employees and a €5 million budget.


• Strategic Planning & Turnaround Leadership – Orchestrated successful turnaround and grew annual revenues 35% in only 17 months by completely changing the business model and strategy.
– Changed marketing to extreme scalable total solution versus pieces of software code, and converted from a software-only model to a “solution in the box’ model that included all options to gain added value.
– Introduced pay-per-study model that created opportunities in markets that before bringing budget to the table to invest.
– Drove revenues and margins by increasing the reseller channel with CANON, FUJI, HITACHI and KONICA dealers on all continents and as such increased revenue and margin.
– Instrumental in driving the best-ever annual revenue, margin, and new business growth (600+%) in the company’s history; holding company’s revenues grew to €243 million in 2006.

Led the overall coordination, functional management, and leadership of the sales and marketing activities of this provider of flexible storage offerings and responsive service and support to OEMs and system integrators; in previous position at Computer Industries International (CII), continually liaised with Dot Hill and requested to join the company based on outstanding performance and communication skills. Managed a six-person team and a €10 million budget.

• Business Growth – Targeted, penetrated and grew business with companies in the medical, financial, and research industries.

• Partner/Reseller Channel – Drove the successful launch of the European partner and reseller channel Dot Hill EMEA.

COMPUTER INDUSTRIES INTERNATIONAL – Enschede, The Netherlands
CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER / VICE PRESIDENT, SALES & MARKETING (1996-1999)

Initially consulted on reorganizing the company after a management buy-out of this NASDAQ computer software company, and became in charge of operations and global sales and marketing activities; CII was part of the global IT company Triple-P, and was the knowledge center on programming software, proprietary OS, and server hardware. Essential duties included corporate strategy development, new partner acquisition, sales channel growth and retention, and introduction of PC projects for employees of large enterprises and governments. Managed as many as 50 employees and a €15 million budget.

• Transformational Change - Reinvigorated IT company (Computer Industries International) with declining sales by developing product strategy that drove explosive sales growth from €7M to €15M in 24 months. Revamped the organization, product portfolio and market segment, and established a profitable company with growing sales and margins.

• Branding – Re-branded the MAI name for large IT projects within government and large enterprises.

• Contract Closing – Held a lead role in closing public/private contracts with the Dutch Airforce and unions.
