Acquired 1 global extrusion company and 1 distributor as forward integration strategy (300 MM Euro turnover) . Divestiture of 2 Distribution Businesses (20 MM Euro) . Lead various X-functional teams with senior executives to achieve the Merger and Acquisition objectives .
Lead a major Business Development Program to assess the service needs of the company's customer base. Based on this research, service sectors have been identified, potential partners and acquisition targets have been evaluated to capitalize on the existing customer relationship.
Proposed a Business plan for an independent portal, which would serve as E-Business platform to the plastics processing industry. Venture Capital / Technology partners were selected.
Developed the European Service Council Project Concept, where high potentials across all Businesses will work for 2 weeks on an actual business issue

European responsibility for developing and executing services, which go beyond the normal product offering to create productivity at COmpany's customers. Also known as Customer Productivity Program and later called Customer Six Sigma.
With 6 direct reports , achieved 2 MM Euro of savings at selected customers in return for 25 MM Euro of additional business . Responsible for development and training for the commercial organisation and developed a sales force effectiveness competency grid to assess the total commercial force

Manager Business Planning

Responsible for aligning Marketing, Sales, Product Management and Commercial Finance to create one Business Planning Process with the necessary tools, definitions, conventions in line with the Six Sigma Process activities . Development and communication across the business as a Best Practice for other Businesses.
Sales History, Forecast and Operating Plan in one overview. Member of the team, that rolled out the 6 sigma principles. Business Planning System has become the measurement tool for the Design for Six Sigma Product Development Process




Customer Productivity Programme Manager
July 1993 - July 1996
Development of the Customer Productivity Program, creating the need both internal and with Customers to enhance the mutual relationships.
Responsible for applying resources from all businesses to improve the productivity (bottom line) of the company's customers. Contacts with executives of various customers to achieve top level commitment for the supplier/customer partnership. Acted both as internal and external consultant to enhance the change processes within the businesses. Emphasis on technical and cultural/social aspects of productivity improvements.
One of the first European Change Acceleration Process trainers.

Responsible for the long-term strategic direction of a DFL 300 MM business including the short term profitability. Re-engineered the business in multi-functional teams, while leading the change process with emphasis on communication and involvement of employees. Negotiated the transition with the Works Council. Directed the business in the use of advanced information and communication systems.

Responsible for setting up a new business unit around a unique decorating technology for thermoplastics. This new venture with 20 employees entailed the combination of existing resources in headquarters with the entrepreneurial advantages of a start-up business.
