2006 – Present ABNAMRO
Global Service Management, Services
ABNAMRO Services is rolling out a Service Management Framework that includes components called Service Catalogues (including ABC unit costing), Demand Management, Service Level Agreements, Performance Reporting and Client Settlement. My responsibility is to advice and support the regional service management teams in analysing the as-is situation and help them initiate projects to get to the desired Service Management Framework.

2005 ABNAMRO
Head Service Costing GSS Operations
As Global Head of Service Costing responsible for projects that built Activity Based Costing (ABC) models throughout Services Operations and the maintenance of these costing models. The main activities were the set up and execution of an ABC project for Trade operations, an ABC-model update project for Cash&Payment operations and an IT-system change-project for Global Markets including transferring the new system into the maintenance organisation (what included the testing of the maintenance procedures of this new system). Furthermore I was responsible for a team in India that maintains the ABC models. Other activities existed of aligning our projects with other ABC initiatives within the abnamro to create common model structures and exchange best practices, facilitating a benchmark study in the field of Cash and Payments and deliver costing information to different parties/stakeholders.

2002 – 2004 ABN AMRO
Project manager and business analyst Working Capital, Cash & Payment Operations.
Responsible for implementing Activity Based Costing (ABC) models globally (excl Netherlands) for Cash & Payment operations. The team existed of five people of which two persons in India. The activities executed were building an ABC framework model, retrieve information by interviews, analysing the financial and operational data, built systems to transfer the data into the input-formats of the ABC software, load and process the data, set-up the reports and the maintenance process. The results have been used to support to offshore country activities to India. We trained our India team to maintain the ABC models and run the monthly MI reports.




2001 – 2002 ABN AMRO

Making Quick Scans and Business Case Analysis. Also active as Programme, Project and Interim Manager for the defined projects which were the results of the Business cases.
The main project for which I was end-to-end responsible was a change project for Client Services Netherlands. The project consisted of five projects: analysing the Service Requests submitted by clients, writing down the process steps to solve the service requests (done by interviews), setting up temporary and structural measurement systems, implementing new software systems (incorporating the analysed processes) and setting up a new communication plan.

1998 - 2001 ABN AMRO
Senior Account Manager small-medium enterprises, Amsterdam zuid branch
Leading a team of account managers and administrative personnel (7 people). Besides managing my team I was also responsible for a number of specific accounts of small and medium sized enterprises, as well as the acquisition of new accounts. The account activities existed of granting all kind of bank-products after evaluating the credit risks, branch developments, market position, future plans, etc. I was member of the branch credit committee.
An other activity was drawing up the budget and commercial plan of our branch jointly with the management team.

1997 - 1998 ABN AMRO
Account Manager Global Clients, Amsterdam
Responsible for the portfolio of several multinationals, a/o. British Petroleum,
Rothmans and IKEA. Advising these companies in the field of (strategic) financing, credit funds, complex payment issues and cash management systems (cash pooling, zero-balancing). Drawing up of credit proposals, contracts and letters of credit and ensuring an adequate surety position.

1996 – 1997 ABN AMRO Curaçao
Manager Facility Services
Heading a department of 11 persons dealing with the administration of the commercial business activities, composing contracts and generating management information.
We executed an in depth analysis of existing systems understand the exact processes and data storage so we were able to eliminate many double administrations that existed (due to lack of understanding of existing old systems). The result was improved administration and insight in credit risks, improved reporting and a reduction in FTE’s. We improved the communication with the different departments of the bank. We were also responsible for implementing an electronic banking project.

1995 - 1996 ABN AMRO Curaçao
EDP Auditor for the Netherlands Antilles
Responsible for analysing the risks of the administrative organisation and related automated systems within the different departments of ABN AMRO on the Netherlands Antilles and the composition of auditing check sheets.
In the context of these activities 50 % of the time was used on checking and testing the available and existing network and applications security in relation to user authorisations (for both the central AS/400 system and the local networks); advice on improvements/changes.

1994 - 1995 LMI Transport Group Curaçao
Business and Information Development Officer
Research and development of the logistic possibilities/opportunities in the Netherlands Antilles. Developing and implementing a free zone distribution centre together with the governmental auditor’s service.
Setting up and implementing the administration of the debtors accounts of an acquired company and collecting these accounts.
Responsible for the maintenance of the AS/400 computer system for the transaction of air & sea cargo shipments.
